Throughout his career at global organisations such as GSK and Johnson & Johnson, he has led strategic initiatives that integrate cutting-edge technologies, including Process Analytical Technology (PAT), automation, novel technologies like terahertz, and AI, into both development and commercial environments.
Andrew has a proven track record of securing government, academic, and industry partnerships, driving innovation through cross-functional leadership, and managing the full lifecycle of technology implementation from scouting to deployment. Steve Hammond has 30 years of experience in defining and justifying the business case for PAT in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing operations.
He has a particular focus on the achieving representative sampling for on-line PAT systems, particularly the use of fiber optic probes as spectroscopic interfaces in dynamic processes.
Steve has more than 20 years of success in deploying PAT into continuous manufacturing processes, particularly the application of NIR spectroscopy.
Steve is offering assistance in developing the use case for PAT in pharmaceutical and food manufacturing , particularly in continuous processing of pharmaceutical products.
Martin is Director of Martin Warman Consultancy Ltd, providing consultancy services to many of the largest global healthcare. MWC Ltd has its own PAT lab to support this work.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in the field having previously led the Global PAT Development Team at Pfizer Global Manufacturing, as well as previously working in academia, the petrochem/environment sector and as a technology provider.
He then spent 7 years at Vertex, initially leading their PAT Team, before becoming the technical lead developing their continuous manufacturing (CM) platform (as used for the first approved CM product).
Martin provides a full portfolio of PAT services from supporting feasibility/proof of concept, through tactical implementation, regulatory approval, to strategic as well as advisory services, and even sits of global regulatory interface teams for several clients.
